Race #15 and 16: Buttonwillow 25CCW Majors, "Last Majors for 2016"
Nothing super exciting. I will say having no usable footage for Sunday looking forward provides an interesting way to analyze video, rear looking only and refreshing my memory. Looking forward to 26CW in June. Should be able to reach and hold terminal velocity for the 2nd race of this year. You must own one of those Canadian SRFs. Seeing the speed in Km/Hr makes it look really fast. Watching your video reminds me that I hate when people go off course and come back on and dust up my video camera.

Sorry for the km/h, but I work in a world where that is standard even though it is in the second largest metropolis in the U.S. (Plus the numbers are bigger so it feels faster ) I'm bad about driving off. I'm getting better about it, so hopefully that will stop being a problem and Mark will lower the radiator pan on my car. Thankfully I don't drive street circuits or I'd have wadded up about 50 cars by now. Cheers, Chris |
We Canadian SRFs need to stick together....I thought I was the only one!

Race #17 and 18: Buttonwillow 26ACW Regional, "Lost the points lead"
According to the race info, this was the first time this race configuration had been run in "race mode", so there were guaranteed lap records for every class. Didn't seem to help the turn out though since there were only 4 groups total and the "Wings and Things" got put together with the 7 SRFs that showed up. At the end of Sunday, I wasn't real pleased with my driving (see the end of the video below), but my times seemed to be pretty decent. Now I just need to learn how to drive like I'm chasing or being chased when I'm not actually doing either. I just need more seat time.
