Looking for some guidance. I am putting a Butler seat in and am curious how the submarine belt installs. Previously it went around the 1" x-member but now that support bracket (for the bottom of the seat) that goes between the x members is in the way. Do I slot that bracket so the belt can still pass through? Thanks for the help.

Mine is bolted to the seat mount bracket, that's how it was when I got the car. Given the gauge of the bracket, if it moves enough to make the sub belts not functional, I doubt it will make a difference.

Depends on what type of submarine belt, as well. Since I converted to six point, I opened up the necessary holes in the seat bottom to put the belt mounts sideways in the recommended location on each side of center, bolted through the aluminum cross-bracket under the seat. Unless you wish to become a "soprano" in the choir I highly recommend a properly mounted six-point sub-belt.
