This weekend was the first time we used the new spoke wheels. Two important things were figured out about them:
1) The steel lug inserts are frequently NOT fully seated. So, we torqued them to 100 pounds to force them in all the way. Some of them fell out in the box before we got them.
2) The powder coat on the back of the wheel gets soft when hot, resulting in the lugs getting loose. This happened the first several sessions of use. We had to run three laps, pull in, and re-torque the wheels. We did this until they stopped moving

Also, watch that the center hole is large enough to go over the lip of some Renault hubs.

Mine got hung up on the thickness of the paint and did not seat properly.

Since I switched to Fast Forward hubs...No problem.

I think somewhere there are instructions that say to put them on and take them off again to break the coating off. Or you can knock it down with a Dremel.
