Transmission - Dog Box or Synchro?

Does the SRF have a synchro gearbox, or dog box? While I am at it. Is it a production H pattern, or racing pattern(with 1st back from reverse)?

Synchro, H pattern.

Sorry for the confusion. I knew it is an H pattern. Most production H patterns have 1,2,3,4 in the primary H. Racing prepped transmission such as Hewland have 2,3,4,5 in the primary H. I found an article from 2000 on SCCA Enterprise sight that talked about how to properly shift dog box transmissions, and it got me wondering |

5th is right and forward, reverse is right and back. Fully synchro production gearbox. That article was meant for the consumption of the FE guys.

Thanks. I did not think the SRF had that special of a gear box. The letter was posted in 2000. I did not know that FE went back that far. |

We have a standard production car transverse FWD gearbox moved to the back.
