Bead seat???

Hello Forum,
1st of all I hope all of you are healthy and not too negatively affected by the virus and what comes with it.
Here my request: no idea if that was discussed in the past, at least I could not find it with the search option.....
I wanted to use my old style seat shell and pour a bead seat into it. The recommendation I got was for a seatinserts.com kit.
I am 6'1" and 170lbs and that is also a reason why I think I will get away with that standard fiberglass seat shell and that I do not need a new style 500+$ shell for the bead seat. I'd rather spend that amount at the track.
Now my question: Does any of you know how many gallons of the bead would work? I would like to cover the full length and width of the shell but I think it will be pretty thin, like an inch or so mostly?!?!? Maybe partially 2-3 inches thick??
My thought is to make something similar to what professional race drivers use on TV in IMSA when they swap drivers and everyone has their own seat inserts, except the big guy who sits directly in the seat w/o an insert. I hope I explained it well.
Any comments and idea are highly appreciated.
