Sorry for the dumb ass question, but this last weekend I went from pretty good to terrible.

What "hot" pressure do people shoot for immediately after a session. I had thought it was 35-36psi?
Is that too high? Any thoughts appreciated.

Mark, I wondered what happened on Sunday... guess that could be part of it. I would say that yes, 35-36 is higher than I like to run. I have spoken with others that run that high, but I don't.
This past weekend was weird, as with the altitude and extreme temps (my AIM datalogger on my dash read 118 F during the race Sunday) everything seemed to run hotter than I've ever seen before. My water temp (outside of the radiator loop which will read high) ran consistently 20-30 degrees above anything I've seen. I know that's not related to tire pressures, but my tires seemed to run hotter than they have in the past as well, which could be exacerbated by errant (too high for the conditions) pressures potentially. I would say that this would not have been the weekend that I would want my pressures coming in too high if I could avoid it. In different conditions, those pressures might fare better.
Hope that helps.
Denny

I'm no expert, but I've heard that most people target 30 to 32 lbs hot pressure.

I always look for a high of 29 in qualifying and 28 at the end of a race.
