Exactly the same problems as my car!
I've found now that if I do very short hits on the starter it tends to start, yes seems like the engine wont fire while the starter is under load. It's like the flywheel momentum is necessar for the engine to start.
I've done trigger sync scans on the PE monitor and it shows no crank trigger, yet the plugs are firing and the injectors are working.....makes so sense at all. endless continuous cranking and it will not start.
I sorted out my ECU light connections as the wires 4 and 5 were swapped in the six pin connector. now my map light doesn't work. maybe 3 and 4 are swapped. I message you later thanks' Glenn

That sounds like a fuel pump that is not doing the initial pressurization correctly.

Did you verify full fuel pressure on power cycle? Eliminate that first.

Yup, mechanical gauge, Aim data gauge , and the PE monitor showing good fuel pressure. I'm actually flooding the cylinders with fuel, and if I pull the plugs out and crank they have a beautiful bright spark! There is a small irregularity in the analog trigger scan that may be confusing the ECU. Working with Mike Davies to sort it out
I've sorted out the ECU light not going out. Wires 3 and 4 at the six pin dash connector were mixed up, but now my Rain Map light is inoperative.
It's a saga
