Sprayed too much carburator cleaner into car

Yesterday I cleaned the carb of my 85 olds delta 88 (307 V-8). Today the car starts up fine but runs sluggish & sometimes pings. When I put the pedal to the metal I see black smoke coming out of the exhaust. Since I have owned the car (5/96) after I have driven it for awhile the car starts to run sluggish & ping. This has been going on for over 39k miles & no breakdowns (so far). I avg 2k miles annually. From what I have read online flooding the carb with carb cleaner causes the car to have starting issues. I don't have that. I let the car sit for a hour & it started up fine.
