Enterprises offers a new rollover check valve for the fuel system. It is supposed to eliminate the need to insert a piece of zip tie into the valve during fueling. It appears that the new valve must eliminate the overflow hose that runs from the old valve down to the right rear bottom of the frame. Has anyone installed the new valve? If so, could you post picture of the final installation? Is the new valve just left sticking up in the air next to the fuel filler cap? Doesn't that allow debris to get down into the valve?

I think most of the MoDy cars have gone back to the old valve (mine included). The new design overflowed easily.

I put the Staubli valve on soon after it was available in 2010. Filling the fuel cell is a breeze. I did worry about debris, so I try to keep it as clean as possible. I'll try to post a picture at my earliest opportunity.

Overflowed during fueling? Or when running the car?

I personally never had any overflowing problems.

I tie-rap a foam filter over the outlet and a small canister (remember 35mm film) over the filter so it still flows.

In my case I had issues with overflow while running (hard left turns)

I had overflow issues initially- went back to the old style

Now with the weight in my car correct- I can use the new overflow valve and having put a large hose over it then threading down similar to the old overflow tube- to the lower frame rail and ending behind the rear wheel, I don't have to fill the car full to make weight and with the new fuel pump the car will run to almost empty without coughing, also I have not had any complaints of fuel spilling onto drivers behind me- had it full at VIR without a problem. It is important to mount it high tho- mine is in the same place as the old one.

I felt the old style may have been sticking and over pressurizing the fuel cell leading to leaking through pin holes in the cell. Replaced the cell.

The sticking became evident when sticking the tie wrap in the pressure would suddenly be released- spraying me with fuel. This should not happen if the pressure releases through an open valve that is suppose to close only on roll over

No issues like this with the Staubli- working fine
