Had one of my cars in the Lone Star Region booth at the SVRA Championships at COTA and one of the casualties was the switch on the brake pedal. It had been flaky before so I'm not too upset about it, I just don't know if it's something I need to get from a CSR or if I can order it from RockAuto/NAPA/etc.

Anybody got a part # if the latter is the case?

Thanks,
Chris

When I have a old plastic switch go bad or just give me problems I change it out. I go to Pegasus and get a tee part number 3209 and a switch part number 3601. run same wires to the new switch.

It has been my experience that if you have 2 spares you will never need any. If you don't have any they go bad with some regularity, usually at the worst possible time. If you ever leave any spare at home because you never need one, that is when it will go bad.

Or for about 48.00 you can upgrade to the Hydraulic switch, its an easy bolt on and bullet proof compared to the old plastic switch. Part numbers 680415A and 832503 from your local CSR!

I recommend the solution from Motion Dynamics. I chased the same problem my first race weekend this year and eventually added a second jam nut to the switch. Beau at Elite Autosport suggested the same solution as Motion. The hydraulic switch will never go out of adjustment so it'll be one less problem to deal with.
