@ Dave: No, we have not purchased an RV (yet) - but we are looking ;) . Hopefully we will be able to buy one soon. In the mean time, we will be using the TPD as a base camp. Not sure how all this will all work out, all I know is I am excited to be heading up to PIR on my first "real" road race trip. :D

@ Bob: Yup, signed up for the test day at the Pro Drive website. Looks like we will be neighbors Wednesday night in dirt parking lot outside the gate. :)

Jerry, Bob, Dave:

Just FYI if you have not read the directions yet....

SRF will be in the SOUTH paddock for this event and that includes test day.

There is a link to the map on the Motorsports reg page for this event: http://www.oregonscca.com/media-library ... 202012.pdf

Thursday AM you will enter thru the Main gate at PIR (we call it the "tinker toy" gate) and park in one of the paddock areas marked SRF. Do not cross over into the infield for test day!!!!!!

You need to check in the the Pro Drive office for the test day but they should tell you this ;)
SCCA will have Registration open in the Rose Cup Room (in the tower in South paddock) from noon-4PM Thursday so in between test sessions please come over and get Reg out of the way for the weekend. This will save doing this in the crowd Friday AM by the main gate.

One other note if you haven't been to Pro Drive test days....except for brief breaks every 1/2 hour, it's essentially open track. There will be fast moving forumla cars, GT1s and lots of other SRFs. In other words, *WATCH YOUR MIRRORS*.

See you guys at Laguna then up here for RC.

I just talked with Flat Out and they are planning on 7 - 9 cars from Oregon at the Laguna race next weekend. This will include, I think, Fogg, Tipton, Halloran, Butler, Murray, Gaudy, Harris (maybe) and couple more. We are serious about this!

A few more things of interest about the Rose Cup Weekend.

First, our big race on Sunday, the Festival Trophy Race, is sponsored by Pro Drive. They will be have a **Hawaiian Barbecue Lunch for all Spec Racer Ford Drivers & Family on Saturday, June 16th.

Second, I can also promise some fun during the weekend but you will have to be here to find out.

Third, we will paddock all the SRFs together around the Pro Drive offices in the South Paddock. The gates will open at 7AM on Thursday and will direct you in to the appropriate spot.

Finally, here is a link to the schedule for the weekend:
http://www.rosefestival.org/events/rose ... ule-v2.pdf

Both weekends are going to be lots of fun. Can't wait to see you guys at Laguna and here in Portland

If he's anything like his old man, they are probably in a rush to get rid of him. :P

That's the problem with some of the Oregon drivers - they haven't got a clear sense of where their priorities lie!!

For those of you coming to Portland for the Rose Cup you are in luck if you are a "foodie". June is Dining Month in Portland and 60+ of the best restaurants are having 3 course meals for $25. Here is a link:

If you have family coming along who don't like to hang out at the track there is a light rail station at the track. Here is a a website for the local transit agency (Trimet). PIR is on the Yellow line near the Expo Center.
