As Lone Star Region Race Chair it is my pleasure to announce that the Lone Star Region of SCCA will holding their March 8,9,10 race at Circuit Of The Americas in Austin Texas. It is currently planned to be a Double National and may or may not be a Super Tour and or a Majors race. Their will be a test and tune on March 7th sanctioned by COTA. Soooo! The next questions are who's gonna be there and who's gonna set the track record for SRF? How many SRF's are we gonna put on the track ?
More that the spec Miata's I hope. SRF's have their own group in SW Division. Comments? Eric anything to say?

Thanks Steve, I'm struggling to keep cost below $700 for the three day event. Depends on whether we are Super Tour/Majors. National charges for that now where we used to get sponsorship money. Test and Tune is projected to be $300. So that's $1000 entry for 4 days .....BUT ... it is COTA!!!! So how about it is there going to be enough turnout?

Roger that's outstanding! Since I live in Houston the cost is within my range. I know many will struggle with the cost. But how many of us have ever run a current F1 track let alone in its first 12 months of operation! What a spectacular venue. Considering what I've heard about the runoffs and SCCA's request for money from the track, I don't think we'll ever run COTA for the runoffs. It used to be a pretty regular thing for us to go to the Sprints and that's a long trek from Houston.

If I can get my national license before then, I'll definitely be there!
