While you can downshift WITHOUT blipping the throttle, you have to wait for the RMPs to come down in the braking zone. The fastest way to downshift is to blip, so some of the skill element is preserved.

There is talk of adding an auto-blipper in the future, whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is up for debate.

Has anyone received their gearbox yet? Any installation experiences to share?

Yes, we did Bruce Myer's install this past weekend. I wrote up some install notes and uploaded some pics to my google drive:

Look for a PDF "Sadev_Gen3_Notes.pdf". Note we have not run this yet nor done any wiring to the ECU. Also, pics of Mike's test car in the folder show the Ford ETB, which is *not* part of the delivered kits.

Let me know what you think.

Wow! What a write up! Thanks so much for sharing this.

I'm a little bummed that Enterprises has not yet asked for my final payment. They were pretty late in asking for my second payment.

Fingers crossed.

I didn't wait for Enterprises, I sent payment in full for both of my cars and received the boxes a month ago.

I wish I knew that was an option. I'll give it a shot.

I think the order they were sent out was some combination of how early you got your initial order in and when you said you'd be racing after the runoffs. But everyone I know that sent all the money right off the bat did get theirs earlier than me. I hadn't thought of doing that but I did just get my final invoice today so presumably a new batch came in. Fingers crossed I'll be running it late January!

It would be nice if Enterprises would even bother responding to status inquiries.

I feel a little foolish for the weeks I've lost waiting for that final invoice.
My old gearbox is out, and it's not going back in. I wish that they had followed the protocol that was put in place for allocation of gearboxes.

Rumor has it that there will be a number of cars this weekend at the Homestead Major with the Auto-Blip installed.
