May events will probably be affected but they don't have to be. These articles make a good case that we can start to transition to "normal" non-crowd activities (With testing/monitoring and social distancing) 3 to 7 weeks after we start strict measures to suppress the transmission rate of the virus. So far only New Rochelle NY has applied the hammer. They have slowed the spread in that town, but they are at risk of all that effort being wasted if the surrounding towns are out of control.
