Enclosed Trailer Thoughts Please

Asking the community for some advice. :)

I am currently away from home and the "spec," so I can't put eyes and a tape on it.
I may need to buy a small enclosed trailer as storage for boat junk. Cheaper than annual rent, and may serve dual purpose.

I f I knew what the smallest "reasonable" footprint for an SRF is - I might buy something with dual purpose.

Floor length rectangular, width between wheel wells, any door considerations other than max width?
Looking at single axle - should be good right?

Thanks to all in advance.

Cheers - Jim

I haven't seen any suitable single axle enclosed trailers. Smallest I've seen that can hold an SRF (and not much else) would be 8x16 (though I recall one setup that was able to squeeze two cars with a ramp system.) I have an 8x20 that's plenty large enough. My primary concern was towing weight, since my initial tow vehicle was limited to 5k towing capacity. The Wells Cargo turned out to be lighter than expected (under 1,900 lbs empty), so that left plenty of capacity for the car/tires/tools/spares, etc.

What ever size you decide, don't get a black trailer. They get pretty hot in the sun.

Thanks to all the responses - and the Links too. I am currently located in an internet-free zone and have very limited bandwidth. I normally do due diligence, so please accept my apologies for not finding those on my own.

I had a 7x14 Wells Cargo that worked fine for SRF. No room to walk around it at all, but it was effective. Tires were bolted to the wall. SRF is 12.5 feet stem (point of nose) to stern.

I had one of those for years, worked just fine.

I have a 7 x 16 Bravo. Enough room in the front for my rolling tool cabinet, and bins of supplies. Two sets of wheels, fuel jugs and air tank go in the short bed pickup. Loaded up it's approx. 4400 lbs. Tow's nice.
Wish list: 6 1/2 ft tall (ouch) and a beaver tail (high centered the car before I learned the tricks to minimize the ramp angle).
Good luck.
