Hello All,
This is ABSOLUTELY the #1 cause of mystery blown motors. I have asked the CSR's to do this check 100% of the time at new engine install and at least once a year on all cars in their control. Fuel pressure does NOT tell you if you are supplying a proper aeration free flow of fuel.

Thanks to Mike Davies for the content and idea to make this more widely understood & to Tray Ayres for the technical stylings. (Team effort, Shannon Snow helped on editing as well).

Yes...this should be in the technical section...but it is too important to risk someone missing it there.

TRUST ME, THIS IS TOO IMPORTANT TO BE ANYWHERE BUT HERE! And all, don't blow off this issue because your car seems to be working fine. Read it and make sure every part of the fuel system is verified as outlined. It probably isn't.
Erik, thank Mike Davies and the crew for a seriously comprehensive summery of this problem. Even I can follow it. tony |

TRUST ME TOO. I spent half my season's budget this year as a direct result of this problem. Put this at the top of your "oh yeah, I should make sure I check that" list.
This is an excellent bulletin. I wish I'd had it about two months ago. Thanks to Enterprises for excellent information in a very digestible format. Denny Last edited by Racer X on Tue Jun 26, 2012 3:51 pm, edited 1 time in total.
