I'm going to be spectating at the June Sprints and would like to get more information on the SRF class. I have been racing shifter karts for 10 years now and had to put that on hold for college. I recently graduated and have a great job. I would love to get back into racing but would like to be more secure in the car. The SRF looks like a great competitive class. If there is anyone that is attending the June Sprints and possibly have any free time to answer a few questions that would be great! I'll be there Friday-Sunday.

Here is a list of tracks I raced shifter karts at...

1.) Road America (4 mile)
2.) Blackhawk Farms Raceway
3.) Milwaukee Mile (Oval & Road Course)
4.) Autobahn Country Club
5.) Grattan Raceway
6.) Gingerman Raceway
7.) Gateway Int. Raceway (Oval & Road Course)
8.) Putnam Park Raceway

Look up Scott Rettich - Alliance Autosport SRF/FE
He came out of karts to SRF a few years ago.

I personally figure he's the odds-on favorite to win, as well... so yeah, he's probably not a bad guy to talk to. :)
Actually, I'd expect that pretty much anyone in the class would be more than happy to talk to you about the cars and how competitive the racing is.
Also, when you're bored you might try searching "youtube" or "vimeo" on this site and you'll see some pretty good videos.

I would recommend looking for Beau Martin and the Elite Autosport trailer\canopy in the main paddock area behind pit lane. Beau will be supporting five cars at the event and a couple of us come from karting backgrounds. He has cars for rent when you are ready to try one out. Beau is also your local CSR, the official source for Spec Racer Ford parts and support.

I would also be happy to talk with you. Just look for the blue and white #6.
