Once again - posting for Jim Creighton:
=============================================================

Recently, I sent all SEDiv licensed drivers an email outlining 2018 plans for a top tier race program for all Runoffs eligible classes. In an effort to expand the appeal of the Championship Series, SRF (1.9L cars) and SMSE (1.6 SM cars) will also be included in the program. And to make the series even more attractive to SRF (1.9L) cars, SCCA Enterprises has agreed to the following Year End Championship Prizes for them:

• 1st Place: Set of Hoosier Tires & a $750 SCCA Enterprises Parts Credit Voucher (PCV)
• 2nd Place: $700 PCV
• 3rd Place: $650 PCV
• 4th Place: $550 PCV
• 5th Place: $500 PCV
• 6th Place: $450 PCV
• 7th Place: $400 PCV
• 8th Place: $350 PCV
• 9th Place: $250 PCV
• 10th Place: $150 PCV

Remember, the series is open to all licensed SCCA drivers regardless of home division that are competing in Runoffs eligible classes plus SRF (1.9L cars) and SMSE (1.6 SM cars). SRF must enter Majors races as SRF3 and SMSE must enter Majors races as SM unless there is a regional component that allows them to enter as SRF and SM. As pointskeeper, I will sort the results separating these cars into our series results and will award points for all classes, SRF3, SRF2, SM, and SMSE based on the series classes. For example, if the highest placed SRF finishes 10th in SRF3, he will get 1st place SRF points and any SRF3 cars finishing behind him will move up. SMSE will be scored the same way with SM. Of course, at the two regional events included in the Series (Daytona in May and Barber in August) SRF and SMSE should enter as such. To be eligible for final awards and contingencies, you must participate in 4 events. The first event is the Majors at Homestead Miami Speedway on January 5th followed by the Hoosier SuperTour at Sebring on January 12th.
