No one here posted a "Thanks John!" for well deserved kudos in his director and chairmanship runs. He was an unsung hero in my mind in those jobs that not many of us would have taken on. A lot of us in the Northeast have known John for 25 years or more in racing at least. So I know this is a bit late but....."Thanks John..!!"
(He was caught on camera saying goodbye here a bit early at the Glen....)
PS: Hope to see your #57 Yellow and Black Gen3 on the track again this year...

I'm pretty confident my last words will be 'well shit that didn't work' |

Yes thanks John, one of the more knowledgable people in the SCCA.

I think it's easy to overlook the fact that Chairmanship of the Club is kind of a thankless job.
At least now, for John, it's semi-thankless. John: you did a fantastic job moving the Club forward in the face of some hefty headwinds. Thanks! (Fully.) Now get that GEN3 done and get back out there with us... |

Thanks, belatedly, John, for all you did for the club, and for all you will continue to do.
John's reports in Sports Car were brilliantly written. Some toes were stepped on while delivering some insights as to the future direction of the club, which actually made sense. Now if he only can get his SRF going and not rear-end anyone and check his airbag for peanut shells, we will welcome him back with open arms. |

Oops, I meant air-box full of peanut shells. No reference to John's long-winded conversations.

Oh and I forgot to mention, speaking as one who writes for food, John's SportsCar columns were fun to read. That's no mean feat. |
