There are SRF's to be rented out there. Check with Rick Heer our CSR.
The Festival is a four day event, with a rare test day. Usually that means 5 sessions for the SRF's. And if you're masochist you can double enter for the SR class for a total of 16 sessions in 4 days. Put it on your schedule.

The test schedule will be out shortly. Five Spec Racers sessions Thursday, a practice session, a qualifier, and three (yes that's 3!) races. Ten sessions total; I can't calculate the track time -higher math eludes me- but you'll know Laguna pretty well by Sunday....and we really need to get Group 6 (SRF) numbers up.

$290 for the test day?!! Granted, it's 5 sessions, but no options for a half day. I don't know about you, but I'm not very sharp after 4 sessions and my test tires are usually junk by then. Looks good on a per session basis, but in reality it's pretty pricey. Just my 2 cents (or in this case 2 dollars) on that topic.

Rich, you are spoiled by the cheap prices at Thunderhill. :) And even their half-day prices are close to $200.
The reason SRFs get 5 sessions is we are among the few that can make the morning / evening sound windows (don't forget your muffler).

Dave,

You've got a point. I'm just surprised that it's all-day or nothing. Remember, for $290 you could get more than 8 cases of 2 buck Chuck!!! (Only in California, of course).

Of course, we did do a day last week at Thunderhill $120 for 5 20 minute sessions...

Then there's Hooked on Driving, which in normally around $300 at Thunderhill, but next week they are having an "exclusive event" for $400. And are pretty much sold out...
