Our long time friend Duane Neyer is in the Central FL Regional Hospital in Sanford tonight awaiting bypass surgery tomorrow. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers and if you spare a moment send him a get well card. Duane is a long time icon in SR and SRF dating back to 1987 when he ran a kid from St. Augustine named Mike (and won) at a little get together at Road Atlanta in October.

Wow - thanks for the heads up Peter. When I got started in 1994, my first Spec Racer race was at Sebring in a rental from Duane Neyer Motorsports. I bought that car from Duane a couple months later and ran out of his shop until he sold it to Coug. He's a young guy for a bypass - hope that turns out to work in his favor.

Well that's a bit of a bummer. Duane was the crew chief/data guy for my father-in-law during one of Bob's many seasons in Trans-Am. I worked with him a bunch and count him as a friend. Hope everything goes well for him.

I just got off the phone with Lisa Neyer and Duane made it through surgery. He had a double bypass. The nurses have him sitting up in a chair. He's not asking for a Captain and coke yet, so he's still a little groggy. If you want his address, then pm me and I will get it to you.
