The other shoe has already dropped...there are not going to be enough new D2626 hard rains for both VIR and NHIS next weekend. The SEDiv already did this once, so we must share the pain with NEDiv now. I will be contacting the Chief Steward to request she send an RFA to the SOM to allow the D2624 rain tires. Mr. Morrison (Motion Dynamics - if you live under a rock yet race at NHIS) was made aware last night of this likelihood.

Competition Tire East can sell you new D2624 tires (still also Regional legal through 1/1/2013) if you order them. If you do not have, cannot borrow, and have no access to the old rains, we would hope that we can share from within the community. Unfortunately for me, I might be in the unique position to help with this. Neither SCCA Enterprises Inc, nor Competition Tire East (or any dealer / sub dealer), are responsible for this shortage (i.e. we are not buying you new old tires etc). For professional reasons I will not be commenting further. All efforts by any of the distributors, and certainly those by SCCA Enterprises, are attempts to minimize customer frustration. Obviously we don't expect you to be excited to have to deal with any potential inconvenience; some venting is expected. I can assure you that you could not possibly reach my level of anger and disappointment.

I have old rains, stickers but I'll be at VIR. Get a hold of me if anyone needs some. I'll drive out to the trailer and get them. Or I'll just run them at VIR in the rain......and finish behind the same people probably.

Thats $800 I don't have to spend this week. I will even bring my practice set of old rains just incase someone is short.

Looks like a pretty good chance of rain both days too. Yuk.
