The Mid-Atlantic Road Racing Series kicks off next weekend with racing at Summit Point.

First, there will be no entry fees all weekend, so invite all your friends to come watch the fun.

Second, Charlie Greenhaus of EVSR will have one of his cars on display and doing demo laps at lunchtime both days. EVSR is Electric Vehicle Sports Racers - have a look the the website and some videos: http://evsr.net/

Third, this event is also the start of the the Northeast Division Road Racing Championship series - your alternate path to the RunOffs if you aren't doing the Majors.

Fourteen SRFs are already entered, including some seriously fast drivers and four MARRS champions.

And finally, a local car club is hosting a Cars and Coffee show. Last year they brought over a hundred cars (and some very good joe), which means lots of spectators to cheer for you.

Not that 10-day forecasts are terribly reliable, but it's looking good. At any rate, could hardly be worse then the drivers school we put on last weekend...
