Think of all those guys in Art of Racing out there with you, actually racing.

Bob,

Perhaps you ought to slow down a little so you don't have to lap them ... and give the rest of a chance to catch you!

Yep, they are like 5 seconds slower at Thunderhill...

Have SRF car counts fallen off that much that when we run in SF we will not have our own run group? How bad is the drop off?

Bottom line: We have to get our SRF numbers up. At (from memory) only 27 entries average last season, Group 6 is lowest car count run group. Before the advent of SM, it was the practice to grant the SF Region's largest class its own run group, and discontinuing that with the rise of the Miatas was just sort of forgotten. With the selected event consolidation to six run groups, and using last season entry counts as a gauge, there is a real possibility that certain run groups could be oversubscribed; in fact, we pray for it. It would be interesting to hear which other classes run with us from other Regions around the country (all I can think of is all of the other closed wheel groups- S2, ASR thru DSR, maybe low bore production, but totally open to ideas, especially things which do not run in RG5. It is a basic fairness issue....

...however, the world is a fluid place; Stay tuned.

Actually, it's a safety issue. Just take a look at the SRF in Ric's shop that had a broken frame at Laguna from a broadside hit from an SM sitting in a gravel trap at T4. The minimum weight of an E30 is 2,700 lbs. Maybe it's time, again, to vote with my wallet :-(

... and while I'm at it, THREE E30's RAN LAST YEAR AND TWO RAN ONLY TWO EVENTS!!! What's the (bleeping) point of putting them in SRF (other than to royally piss me (us) off...) I'm sure they'll have a great time playing by themselves... :-( :-( :-(
