Today after picking up my feb copy of Sports Car, I was Sadden to read about Bill Jucha's passing. Bill not only was a great guy but he was a highly competitive and clean SRF racer. in the 20-30 times I raced with Bill, I can't recal him ever having a mark on his car, both in National and pro races. Many of the soPac national races had 35 to 45+ cars back in the day. The main reason Bill's car never had a mark on it was because he was almost always at the front of the pack and raced very clean. Bill awas blessed to have a wonderful crew chief, and wife Patti. Patti was always there helping Bill, be at sunrise on a cold a january morning at PIR, or making the final tweaks on his car afer sunset.
