Other than less weight, are there additional benefits in the new UCA's? A number of racers have switched. Are you happy with the investment? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. Lee

Less Sprung weight and makes cleaning a little easier. But expensive. In my case coupled with the light lithium battery it got me close to minimum weight - but at a total cost of about $2300. I did bend one at Daytona but maybe the old one would have bent with same impact.

Clay - you'll lighten up another 3.5 pounds/corner with the new tires.

Then I'll have to add weight plates - and all the skinny guys will be gloating!

more likely you'll eat your way to minimum, Clay. |

Clay, I noticed that you mentioned that you replaced the battery with a Lithium unit. I was not aware of this, which unit did you go with?
Thanks! |
I don't know. I got it from David Perkins the SWDiv CSR. It is legal and was inspected by the stewards at Daytona last month. It is very light - maybe saves 8-10 pounds - but costly at some $500 - has it's own special charger. And I have been told that if a lithium battery runs all the way down they are usually dead forver.
