For whatever it's worth, mine rolled across the scales 4lb over weight after a 28-lap "National-length" race last weekend. This was with a tank that was filled almost to spilling at the start of the race, so likely had 10-12lb of fuel left in it. I weigh about 195lb when you add all my gear into the mix. I'm going to be adding a plate to be on the safe side, as part of the conversion involved a whole lot of wiring for the old STACK and radio system coming out

Just finished the conversion and was excited to check the weight: chassis 821, new wheels, CDS, AL seat, old UCAs, body has some bondo, not a lot... car weight dry, no plates, about 1305#. So, if you weigh 250, u can make min weight with a gallon of fuel. My scales tend to run right on decent track scales. YMMV

So if I was to weigh, let's say, about 131, I would need more gallons of fuel? H.(...or, more bondo)B. |

No, Hal, you'd need to eat more.

something is wrong...no weight debate?

My guess is that the hoosiers are lighter than the goodyears.

Nope (we just checked yesterday) +5 lbs for the rears +3 lbs for the front (over the 2554's) Dave Harriman

That makes sense. The prior Goodyear's were lighter than their predecessors because the number of internal plies had been reduced from four to three. The Hoosiers are adding some structure back in. We get a little bit of a break on the weight of the front because it is an inch narrower. |
