The Apple Motorsports Gen3 R&D Spec Racer Ford is ready to hit the track. We are going to début our car at the Summit Point MARRS 1 event April 11th.

We wanted to thank everyone involved in helping us put our Gen3 car together and making this possible.

Thank you first and foremost to SCCA Enterprises for choosing us to be a part of the R&D program. The support from everyone at Enterprises through the build process has been invaluable. Erik, Mike, Nikki, Jerry and Mary, thank you!

We would also like to thank:

Mike Amy - Dog Gone Racing
Mike was a huge help welding our frame and helping me install the engine and transmission as well as a slew of many other things I needed a second hand with!

B&B Metal Finishing – Johnny Mackison
Johnny did all of our powder coating, zinc plating, chrome, and anodizing to make this car look fantastic!

Duane Neyer, Peter and Sara - Competition Data Systems
Duane “cherryed” us out on a CDS system for our Gen3 so we can collect as much data as possible.

Dave Skinner - Dynasty Motorsports
Dave serviced and installed the optional 3.85 ring and pinion in our gearbox.

Brian Schofield – PM Racing
Brian gave me great advice to save me time when I first started the Gen3 build process.

John Hagerman – Hagerman RacEngineering
John provided us great CSR service in getting me all the parts I needed in a timely fashion to do a ground up rebuild on this car.

Frank Spidel - Hawghead Marine
Frank does an outstanding job doing all of our paint and fiberglass work!

Lee Stauffer – Lethal Lee’s Garage -
Fabrication of some "cool trick" parts.

American Speed Center - Scott Fry
Scott supplied me with additional fittings for our fuel system and helped me spec out new aluminum fire bottle lines and fittings.

Krout’s Kustom Tig Welding - Jay Krout – aluminum welding

Deerfoot Auto – Frank Cozze – Mazda 2 parts

Impressive Signs – decals

Marlowe’s Metal Fabricating

FK Rod Ends

I would also like to thank Jeremy from Hanover Foods who is on the other side of my hanger for helping with some wiring projects and some heavy lifting. (Whenever you need someone to do a nice job splicing wires together, look for a jet airplane mechanic!)

We are looking forward to hitting the track in 2 weeks and hopefully can provide some data and additional feedback to the program. If you are going to be at Summit Point, stop by and see the car!

Mike
