AIM should work off Can-bus, so serial interface should not be required.

Correct. The last time I checked the ecu chosen was supported by aim and works over the canbus. I don't believe it has changed.

It was one of the aem ecus correct?

Click on the correct ecu and it will show you how to connect to the can lines.

Joe,

Do you know if the Traqmate system will hook up to the new ECU?

Traqmate does not have an ecu connection so you'd have to use regular sensors to get data.

The best deal for getting data from the ecu is an AIM solo dl for 699. They have been my best seller for track day and racers for the last couple of years.

Thanks Joe. I didn't think it would connect up, but thought I would ask.

Cooley is correct Dave. I was at the Expo in Charlotte and talked with the Traqmate guys who were very nice, but they have no direct way to connect to the new ECU on the Gen 3. All sensors for their systems are separate. It seems the Solo packages at the show were the most reasonable units and since Competition Data was not there I couldn't ask them any detailed questions, but they responded to me by email and directed me to their Gen 3 website:

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the plug Mark, and as I mentioned in our emails, feel free to contact me by email, phone, or on the forum here with any questions you might have about our system and its integration with the PE ECU on the GEN3.
We will be connecting via the CAN interface on GEN3 production kits so the serial converter is not needed by our customers.

Full product details are at http://www.competitiondata.com
