The St. Louis Region SCCA presents their first "Challenge" Race on Sunday August 1. They are inviting all SRF drivers to participate in this unique opportunity to add a little excitement to their National racing.
If they get 15 or more SRF starters for the National race on Sunday August 1st, then they will institute this challenge race. They will split out all the SRF's into their own run group.
The region will also be providing the following contingency money to the SRF drivers based on their finishing position in the National race.
1st place - $100
2nd place - $50
3rd place - $30
All other drivers will receive $20 just for participating.
Pick up contingency money at Hospitality.
Additional Info:
This race will be held under the National race sanction and all rules and regulations pertaining to National racing will apply. SRF will be listed in the run group with FP, HP, and GTL on the supplemental regulations. The Chief Steward will split SRF into their own group after it has been verified that they have achieved the necessary entrants. If there are fewer than 15 SRF's registered, then they will leave the run groups as stated on the supplemental regulations and no contingency money will be paid out.

| I'll be there to pick up my contingency money. ;) Great idea! You get your compliance fee(s) for the weekend back just for showing up! |

So now that the Sprints is over how do we gather momentum for this event to reach the critical mass of 15?
Any takers from Cen-Div? |

We are only a couple of weeks out on this event. There are 7 pre registered and I know 2 of my guys that are going are not in yet. If we can get 15 plus entries we get our own race group plus your entry fee back. First through 3rd get paid a token amount. If we get to 15 cars to engage the bonus I will give every entrant a pair of rub rails!
We only need 6 more. I will work my guys in Mid-Div so come on Cen-Div. I only see 2 fo you so far. |

I'm registered. Couldn't get signed up for the dash for some reason though, looks like a dlbracing gitch (it kept double registering me for grp 6). I didn't see any option for garages there either. Being a roval, I would have expected GIR to have them - are there none? I hope we get 15. If not, I may opt out of the 600+ mile trip for August St Louis weather. :) Denny |

The DASH is only for SM and IT cars. That's why DLB wouldn't let you register.
The Friday test day and garage rental is arranged through the track. The entry form has an on line link for the Friday test day and call Dan at 618-261-2222 to reserve a garage. MSR usually has several garages at the north end (near Tech).

Thanks Ed. The Dash lists SRF as an included class, and honestly, that was the most intriguing thing to me about the weekend. Hopefully the supps are accurate and we'll be allowed to race in it. The main problem that I see is that it's immediately after our regional race.
I'll look into the garage info - thanks! Hope to see some of you there. Denny |

| Great progress! Thanks for jumping on board Denny. Steve Rehkemper just added as well. I spoke with Vern Kinney and he is registering as well. We only need 3 more. |

| SRF's are invited to participate in the DASH. There is a bit of a glitch in DLB that requires you to register a second time or something, I am not quite sure myself how to work it. If you have any questions, you can contact our registrar Carol Cohn and she will make sure you are registered for the DASH. Sorry about having the DASH immediately after your group. There is usually about a 15 minute break prior to the DASH for us to get the cars lined up properly and we will make sure to give you time if you need to refuel and take a few minutes to catch a break. |

Thanks Bryon. I got registration confirmation from Carol that I am registered for the dash as well. As long as we get a few minutes to cool down and refuel, we'll be good. :)

| Calling Doug Ford "the new guy". How about coming out for this one and meet some of your fellow Mid-Div guys as well as a few central and at lease one SW one? I would look forward to meeting you. Memphis isn't that far from St Louis. One of my guys is from the Cape Girardo. |

| SW Div is sending Denny as our representative. You might want to adopt him. |
